Brick installation estimated for fall of 2006 Tree
of Hope Our tree may take a couple years to reach that size J Gifts under $500 can be recognized by purchasing a brick which will form the "root system" of the Tree of Hope. Bricks will vary in size and style and may include opportunities for personalized "child art." The Tree of Hope is named in honor of Amber Hope Lindig and will remind us of overcoming obstacles to reach our hopes and dreams. Amber is a little girl with multiple disabilities who inspired her parents, Darin and Angela Lindig to lead the effort to bring Adventure Island to our community. She, along with her two younger siblings who do not have disabilities, hope for a place where all children can learn, play and grow together. Your monetary contributions as well as in-kind services will help make this dream a reality! Donations to Adventure Island Playground are tax deductible. Can you help? Fill out the form below or call Angela at 887-3531 The Community Campaign for the Adventure Island Playground and Water SplashPad is entirely volunteer driven. Adventure Island will be the first Universally Accessible Playground in Idaho, located centrally in the Treasure Valley at the corner of Meridian and Ustick Roads in Meridian. Gifts of every level are appreciated and several sponsorship opportunities are available. The following details the benefits of giving at different levels.
Currently seeking individuals and/or teams to help research design opportunities for The Dig (sand play area), The Sound Garden (Outdoor Musical Play Equipment), X Marks the Spot (FingerSkatePark/Tactile Map) The FishWreck (Water Splashpad), the Touchable Waterfall, and the Pit Stop (Imaginative Gas Station area/Spring Riders). If you are creative and/or imaginative please consider helping us. Please contact Darin Lindig or fill out our online form to help with the Design Committee. Fundraising/Outreach Volunteers: The Fundraising/Outreach committees are currently exploring large leadership gifts and grants, both locally and nationally. Because of the uniqueness of this project, educating potential funders locally about the impact of such a facility to our region, will be the key to its success. We are in need of individuals with a desire to help in these areas as well as good connections in the community. Please contact Angela Lindig for more information or to help in this way.
